This brewery, founded in the first year of Kanbun (1661), has 337 years ofhistory and tradition.
It is a sake that is handmade in the mornings during the winter cold. Only a small quantity is made. It is made using the local sasanishiki rice andhas taken gold medals in four consecutive years in national competition.


The name is taken from the kirin, an oriental phoenix, that was found in a book of the family's history where it was said to protect the house.
