Founded in Kyoho, year 1. Began by brewing sak・to be offered to the gods. Was formerly under direction of the Sendai feudal government, the Date clan.
Uses highly polished (averages 51 per cent polishing) rice and soft water. Three recent gold medals in national competitions.


The sakes name was taken from the family crest.
